black truck driving through dust

Sometimes a full-sized truck just doesn’t make sense. You want it to make work and fit in your garage– but it just is a hindrance. You still need a truck that will works like a truck, just a mid-size that will make any challenge a breeze. Also driveability is key, as your kids may be driving or your significant other may drive your truck every now and then. What are you looking at?

Colorado.

We had our teammate, Josh, dive more into the Colorado – a truck he has owned in the past and absolutely loved but needed a bigger truck for towing purposes. Still pictures himself driving his Colorado – which is now in the loving hands of a repeat customer who absolutely loves his new-to-him truck!

The maneuverability is impeccable. It can easily adapt to its surroundings for any driver. Whether you are an experienced driver or not, it is a truck that you can drive and know your surroundings and with all of the safety packages as options, won’t ever second-guess yourself in a new Colorado

You are looking for a truck that is able to tow, but it needs to be comfortable for your passengers and you love the Colorado but not sure what options to consider. Josh indicates these factors to consider:

  1. Towing with the Crew Cab, Long Bed is very capable of towing on a mid-size truck.
  2. With a capacity max towing of 7,700 pounds and with an available max payload of 1,578, you’ll be towing without skipping a beat.
  3. Roominess of the Crew Cab model.
  4. You pulled the short end of the stick and you and your three friends are heading to Hersheypark  for the day? No problem. You will all fit comfortably in the Crew Cab, with ample leg room and comfort, you might be chosen to drive everywhere!
  5. Convenience is important, too.
  6. The Infotainment 3 System has been updated and capable wireless charging and USB ports – no need to worry about any electronics losing charge. Also 4G LTE Wi-Fi Hotspot availability, streaming, sharing, and posting can happen all throughout the trip.

Thinking you might want more power and get up & go? Consider one of the three engine options: 2.5L 4-Cylinder; 3.6L DOHV V6; or the 2.8L Turbo-Diesel. All with towing capacities; all with a city MPG of 18+ with 25+ MPH Highway; and 200+ horsepower.

Looking for off-road capabilities? Do not look any further than the ZR2

With a capability of the Z71 model, and then some. A rugged appearance and the specific off-road suspension, increased ground clearance (lifted truck lovers? This is your choice!) and Mutlimatic DSSV Damping System are all standard. There are several accessories available to truly customize the ZR2 to how you want it.

Thinking about upgrading? Chevrolet.com has an awesome comparison guide. We have a great selection of Colorado models in stock and would love to schedule your test drive and showing today.
